Lab #9

Part one:

  1. How are women represented in cinema and what does it communicate to our society?

2. How are they physically represented?

Who are the female characters meant to please?

Do women have less voice then men?

Is the public the one demanding to see these images?

How are we contributing to the development of these ideas?

Part two:

  • Me at the movies imagining myself as the main female protagonist while eating popcorn.
  • A reunion of people discussing the creation of a new movie
  • A little girl and a little boy playing together and the little boy tells the girl something like “you can’t wear that!” or “you’re fat” (something of the sort).
  •  A group of men in a pub talking about how “women are too emotional and talk too much”
